Letter to Prospective Judges
School Address
November [*28], 19[*xx]
Dear Colleague:
The [*your school] is a unique school that is proud of its large and diverse
student body. The [*number of students] student body represents many
neighborhoods in the [*geographical description] of the city. This school also
has a well-supplied student laboratory that is available to the entire student
body. This year, we have implemented a redesigned science curriculum that has a
greater focus on hands-on activities.
Consequently, we are anticipating greater participation in the school's science
fair. We anticipate the need for a minimum of [*63] judges. Each judge would
be asked to evaluate [*8] projects during each period, or [*16] if the judge is
able to donate a full day.
Our science fair will be held over the course of [*6] days. Grades 3, 4, 5, will
present their projects on January [*11 & 12], 19[*xx]. Grades 6, 7, 8 will
present their projects on January [*17, 18, 19], 19[*xx]. Approximately
[*number] students will present their projects on each day. Judging is
scheduled from [*10am - 11:30am] and [*12:30 pm - 1:45pm] each day.
As you know, a science fair is an opportunity for any school: but especially for
a school with such a large student body. If you are interested in helping young
students develop as scientists, please contact us immediately.
We look forward to meeting you at the [*your school] Science Fair.
Thank you,
